Private lessons provide one-on-one, tailored instruction for you and your dog. At Widdershins Kennel Dog Training in Shelton, WA, our private sessions focus on your specific goals, the dog’s temperament, and real-life environments where you need results.

Board and Train

An intensive, on-site program where your dog stays at Widdershins Kennel while a professional trainer works daily on obedience, behavior modification, socialization, and good household manners. We handle the consistent training sessions, so your dog learns faster with fewer distractions than at home.

  • Busy families who can’t provide daily, consistent training.

  • Owners who want a reliable foundation of obedience (sit, down, stay, recall, loose-leash walking).

  • Initial evaluation: a detailed behavior and history assessment to tailor the training plan.

  • Multiple daily training sessions

  • Real-world practice: training includes household manners, car rides, public outings, and distraction work as appropriate.

  • Follow-up support: phone/email check-ins and optional refresher sessions.

What we offer

  • Service-trained dogs (task-trained for mobility assistance, psychiatric support, or other specific needs) available occasionally.

  • Dogs come with extensive training history, temperament assessments, and follow-up support recommendations.

    Note: Availability is limited and not all requests can be accommodated. Priority is given to placements where the dog’s training directly matches the applicant’s needs and where the home environment supports the dog’s ongoing success.
